How We Research
Every guide on yardandblade.com follows the same process.
1. Understand the question
We start from what readers actually search for — “best battery lawn mower”, “robot mower vs riding mower” — and look at what existing guides cover and what they leave out.
2. Research the products
We compare manufacturer specifications and documentation, independent published information, and recurring themes in verified customer feedback (for example, common complaints about short battery life, clogging, uneven cuts or robot mowers getting stuck). We don't copy other reviews.
3. Be honest about what we know
- We never claim to have tested a product unless we actually did; tested products carry a “Tested by us” label.
- We don't publish invented statistics, quotes or ratings.
- We don't list prices, because they change constantly. Check the retailer for the current price.
- For blades, fuel, batteries and chemicals we follow manufacturer instructions and product labels.
4. Drafting and review
Our guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, checked against a quality and accuracy checklist, and reviewed by a human editor before they are published.
5. Keeping guides up to date
We regularly revisit published guides: removing discontinued products, updating recommendations and fixing anything that has become outdated. Each guide shows the date it was last updated.
